Actually we went 10-4 this year, including a trip to the SEC Championship Game and beat two of our three biggest rivals, and are well on our way to a top 5 class to lead into next season. All in our coaches first season.
Meanwhile Butch is going into year 4 and hasn't accomplished any of the things Mac has. Carry on with your offseason national title though

Next year Florida will be a better team but won't win as many games.
I think they go 9-3 (6-2) and win the East on a h2h tiebreaker over Tennessee (10-2, 6-2)
The defense will be fine. Florida is deep on the defensive line and in the defensive backfield. Linebackers should be solid and we're bringing in some quality guys to add some good depth.
All reports seem to indicate that Luke del Rio is solid, and that's really all you need to be for Macs offense. I like that Franks and Appleby are coming in for spring ball to compete. The offense will be improved. Floridas bringing in several new weapons including JUCO #1 running back Mark Thompson (6'2, 240).
Florida should have more experience and depth along the offensive line and that will help us not wear down so much at the end of the season. And hopefully Mac has made them see what being content does to a team and he pushes them to go further in the future.
When Florida clinched the East, they were content. And it was obvious. Treon wasn't bad against LSU and UGA. Everyone took their foot off the gas from then on out, and that along with injuries and lack of depth led to what happened to Florida at the end of the season.

Your defense looked like it laid down the last part of the season and McElwain didn't do Harris any favors.That would concern me. I would be cautiously optimistic at this point.

Treon just plain, flat out, sucked. He couldn't hit an open receiver. I was at games and it was painful to watch wide open receivers run all over the field against FSU and Alabama just to be under thrown or not get thrown to at all. It was unbearably bad.

When they laid down in the 4th qtr vs FSU, they never got back up

A huge part of a coaches job is to keep players motivated. There have been plenty of SEC defenses with terrible offenses that fought like hell to stay in the game. Dobbs has a bad arm but the offense is molded for him. Finally added a good bit of power plays for Hurd the last part of the season, thank god.
I do really like McElwain's ability to create mismatches, it is a lost art in college football. I know we don't do it.
