On SXM Full Ride, Childers & Nueheisel asked a couple of coaches if they had ever seen that happen where the ball was spotted and play was ready, then the referees stop and discuss. It’s crazy because PI is not reviewable, but no one can convince me at least one of the referees in the discussion saw the replay on the video board.
I think if that scenario happens in Starkville, the call is not reviewed or overturned and we get flagged 15 yds for delay of game for throwing trash onto field.

I also don’t mean this to be personal, I actually find many of your posts humorous… but you have your head up your arse on this one.
but you have no way of explaining your point other than ad hominin insults
you have no idea what you're talking about

once the ball is in the air, it belongs to both the receiver and the defender
Correct, but only one in the video is making a play on the ball.
quote:
if the receiver "slows down to come back to the ball" and moves through the body of the trailing defender to do it, it's either no call, or it's actually pass interference against the offense
The receiver slows down, he does not move through the defenders body, the defender runs into him.
The defender is not looking at the ball until after he runs into Wingo. Therefor he’s not making a play on the ball. Easy PI.

Keep seeing
“We’re better than that”
That’s what parents tells their kids to feel better about themselves. And it does nothing.

I dunno, you're a chill guy, but then you randomly start swearing and getting really angry. It's the only logical explanation I can think of.
And even if it's true, it's not a judgment.
Still, probably not my place to say. Sorry.

He'll be rooting for Tennessee before you know it.
At least when we throw stuff, we actually hit someone.

I've explained this
The defender is allowed to play defense
Posted on 10/21/24 at 6:58 pm to Harry Rex Vonner
To make a play on the ball you have to be looking at the ball. Playing defense isn’t running into the receiver. It’s getting eyes on the ball and making a play on it. He’s not looking at the ball and runs into the receiver as THE RECEIVER is making a play on the ball.
In your logic, 23 on the Rams is playing clean defense.

Once again, this is prime to you admitting you have no clue what you're talking about
football does not revolve around slow motion video game milliseconds narrated by Cheetos eaters who never climbed a tree

I've explained THIS as well
HE'S NOT REQUIRED TO MAKE A PLAY ON THE BALL
he has a right to play defense. If the WR causes the collision by slowing down, it's a no call, period
you're an idiot

You do understand what “though the body” means right. How do you go through someone’s body when you’re moving backwards?

Chicken, this is what happens on SECRANT in regard to actual x's and o's
You have to explain things to idiots, seven times, and then they still refuse to acknowledge it

You’re an idiot. This is the exact reason QBs throw a deep 1 on 1 ball to a WR. Chances are good that the WR catches the ball or you get a PI for this exact reason.

Now I know you're just a pathological liar, because #23 of the Rams on that was blatant pass interference
You're literally a disingenuous liar
That video versus the one on page two of this thread are nothing similar
holy shite

hard headed idiot
the defender has every right to play defense
there's a rule for defensive backs: if you feel you are beat, you chase and don't look back, if you feel you have proper coverage, you turn and look for the ball - the decision making process is judged in milliseconds
but please, go ahead and argue the same bullshite 5 more times

While this is an NFL video, the rules are the same in this context. THE DEFENDER MUST PLAY THE BALL IF THEY ARE MAKING CONTACT.
