The B1G has admonished Nebraska and others for speaking out about their plans to look elsewhere for opponents to play against the decree of the league office. Veiled threats have even been made against them. Here's how they get their revenge and send a big ole F U to the B1G and their pearl clutching presidents. They go ahead and find the best conference for them to join and sign up. When the B1G comes swaggering in, demanding all their TV money for the next generation, the rogue schools reveal that they have joined their new leagues for exactly $1 of TV revenue! The B1G can have their grant of rights and go frick themselves as these schools cut a deal for $1 of TV money in exchange for an oversize cut of bowl revenues, ticket monies, and other considerations to offset the lost media rights. The new leagues win marquee new members, the schools lose little or nothing in dollars until the grant of rights expires, and the Big 10 gets a swift kick in the nuts and is the equivalent of the MAC. Win, win, win!

I really don't think most of y'all pretending like Michigan and Penn State are for playing realize they actually voted against it.

Plus let's face it, outside of Nebraska and Iowa, every Big Ten State has a NFL and major professional sports league that those two states don't enjoy. So local governments don't see a sustainable loss at it would be for Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina....

Easy to see why those two were the only ones standing and why even Ohio State bowed out.

Serious question...Did the ADs vote not to play or did the University presidents vote not to play?

The problem Nebraska has is in reality, they have a contract with the Big10 and all the threats they might make will make no difference.

Thank you for the response and link. I honestly was curious as to who decided for those colleges.

None of the crap you suggested is remotely likely or feasible.
People need to get hold of their senses.
