I saw every bit of the Dinardo years. And the years before that.

The problem back then was the LSU administration and AD's, IMO. LSU is and always has been the flagship school in this state (which is loaded with talent). All it took was an administration to finally wake up and say "we WANT to win in football" and then take action to do so. LSU has always had the ability to win in football, but for some reason didnt take actions to do so....not enough anyway.

I dont see Ole Miss in this position to totally lock down its own state, much less consistently take recruits from other states.

If you cant lock down your own state, you cant win consistently IMO, unless youre in Fla, Cali, or Tex. Look around, There are VERY few examples that disprove this theory.

Nutt has not continued the recruiting Orgeron started.

Nutt = Great coach but bad recruiter

Orgeron = Great recruiter but bad coach

Give Nutt some talent and watch out, but his lack of recruiting will keep Ole Miss in the 7-5/8-4 range until he gets a staff that can recruit really well.

Orgeron started something that i think Nutt can continue to roll with. Although he may not be as good, his doings from this season will help more than many think.

Our recruiting has seriously picked up. it would not surprise me if we finished in the top 25 in recruiting. Brandon Bolden was a 3 star, mind you. 3 star running backs are not supposed to lead a top 15 team in rushing, their freshman year. IMO, The nutt not being able to recruit thing is a little overstated. We'll see though.

I love denial. You have every reason to be afraid. You've got a good thing going down there in BR. It'd be a shame if someone would come and wreck it.

It just keeps getting better!! Sorry buddy; y'all played a hell of a game this year-- congrats; but Ole Miss isn't wrecking anything for LSU in the grand scheme of things.

right, but what would 2 or 3 in a row do to LSU? History suggests Houston Nutt can do it. What happens if Les Miles keeps underutilizing talent? What happens if we keep getting up for a game that the fightin' tigahs don't? You've got thousands and thousands of fairweather fans, what happens if you start losing?
