Bama fans know they have a lot to work on after their gritty come from behind victory over Ole Miss last week. They weren’t even able to put their third string in until mid-way through the 3rd quarter. Luckily they have the rest of this season, plus the Playoff and championship games to tune up for next year.

A lot of people might think that Auburn fans would be down after their heartbreaking loss last week, but any true Auburn fan knows that their best seasons this decade have come after tough losses to LSU, so things are working out great (as long as you don’t watch the offense in the second half). The good news is they have a tune-up game Saturday against some 1-2 team called “Arkansas?” Not sure how it’s pronounced.

Not even the drunkest of LSU fans believed the season would start the way it has. Not only did they get a memorable upset victory on Saturday, but they got to watch the Ohio State game that night and scour the sidelines for their next star QB. Tiger fans have spent most of this week removing their old “Fire Orgeron” demands from Twitter, Facebook, various truck stops, and wherever else people from Baton Rouge post their thoughts.

Missouri let Purdue throw for close to 600 yards last week, so Tigers fans know this game against Georgia could get … ugly. But remember, Missouri has been to more SEC championship games over the past five years than Georgia has. So when Jake Fromm passes for his eighth touchdown over a defense that looks like the one from Little Giants, that’s a good stat to pull out.

Ole Miss fans are taking solace in the fact that they made Bama nervous for about a play and a half. Every fan in the stadium will be able to tell their grandkids of the time the Rebs took a 7-0 lead on Tua and the Crimson Tide. It will be a fun story to tell, as long as the grandkid doesn’t ask what bowl game the Rebs went to that year.

This week for Vols fans is the exact inverse to the week Gators fans have. Tennessee will play the Gators really tough and look pretty decent while doing so, and afterwards fans will think, “hey maybe we’re not quite as bad as everyone thought!” Only to find out that no, Florida is just much, much worse than everybody thought.

This is the best time of year to be a Gators football fan because you’ll get to beat Tennessee in a game that’s way more hyped than it should be, and then pretend that all of your massive problems are solved and that you’ll give Georgia a run for its money. Just let them enjoy this week, they don’t have much.
