Funny thing is the cumputer formulas consistantly rate Pac schools as having a better SOS compared to all other conferences, which bumps them in the rankings

In all seriousness, there's always going to be a team that feels left out, just look at the 69th and 70th teams in basketball, they bitch too. They only fair way to do it is to lock 15 or 20 of the best and most respected minds in the game up and don't let them out until they give us who they think the 4 most deserving teams are. Not best, deserving.

Understand: There is no ‘one, two, three, four.’ There are only opinions and computer formulas. You might note that no — zero — pro sports use a ‘one, two, three, four.’ They all have divisions. To advance to the playoffs, you must win your division or win a wild-card spot. In no case is there a subjective voting process or selection committee.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is why when folks compare CF to Pro I have ask "DaFuq r you thikning?"
NFL 32 teams 4 teams/div. play at least 2x a year to find out the best in the div to go to playoff. CFB 130+teams.....comparisons do not compute.
Ted miller seems a bit butthurt, DWI SEC stacked....that is all

^^^F'ing THIS^^^

Thanks for saving me a lot of typing, Bro

I wish Georgia would stop playing down to bad teams, that's why we lost to UCF, Colorado and almost lost to Kentucky Bobo needs to come out firing, and not let up.

My biggest fear is that it won't stop at 4. I don't think the regular season is injured much if at all with a top 4, but once you go to 8 and definitely 16 the regular season and conference titles become worth less and less and it becomes only about getting one of those slots and hoping to get hot at the right time.

What a moron, by this logic, the WAC champ is equal to the B1G champ.

Not really, because in his mind the Pac 10 champion is clearly better than ACC, Big East, or WAC champions, otherwise every conferences champion would compete in the playoffs. His stance is every bit as subjective as any poll or vote.

How many professional sports have 120+ teams in their league? There are more than four conferences in Division I football and not all of them are created equal. One conference can be substantially stronger than another in a given year. Just look at 2010. Alabama finished with a 9-3 record (and finished 4th in the West) and met up with 11-1 and Big 10 co-champion Michigan State in the Capital One Bowl. Alabama won the game 49-7 and Michigan State didn't score until late in the 4th quarter when Alabama's scrubs were in the game.

Personally, I like the 8 team scenario. 4 conference champs from the big 4 conferences, then wildcards

Agreed, although I liked the 6 concept I heard.

difficult to explain quickly but incorporated champs and top rankings, seemed like the best scenario

Not really. No other sport is like CFB and is as uneven in competition levels.

The 81-81 padres playoff team from a few years back says hi.

I support the no conference champions model solely so one day we can back in undeservingly and knock out undefeated #1 SEC Champ Alabama

Unfortunately for you, you are going to have to live with Alabama and Nick Saban cornholing LSU's chance at going down as one of the best ever.

But you will never get the chance to do it against a Nick Saban led Alabama in New Orleans.

Just like the 2 most deserving from last year, just give us 2 more, then 2 more, then 2 more, as the years go by.

Of course it does. And it will be just as meaningfull as beating Nick Saban and Alabama in New Orleans (LSU's back yard) with a chance at football immortality on the line.
