Our players may not have used the word "revenge" at Bama, but remember "Never Forget"? We were definitely looking for revenge against Auburn for the 2010 Iron Bowl comeback. It's pretty silly to believe Bama wasn't out for revenge against LSU in the BCS title game last year as well.
Thank you!! Finally someone gets it :-)

Revenge could have played a part in that game. But I think they wanted to prove they were the best team in the country. They had been ridiculed, and shite on by some media members and college football fans for making it to the BSCNC game. Many folks in the nation felt Bama didn't deserve to be in the game. That team wanted more than anything to prove that not only did they belong in the title game, they wanted to remove ALL doubt about who was the best when that game was over.
True, there was a lot of motivation for this Bama team on 1/9. Well, let me tell you.... This week no one and I mean NO ONE is giving us a chance to win. It's as if we have no business stepping on that field Sat thinking we can win this game. 10 pt underdog at home with a 22 game winning streak? Yep...I bet none of this is motivating our team

I've got a pretty good idea how the fans will respond and the team will feed off of that. The place will be rocking.
Bama has taken control of games quickly this season and if they do that this time, it could take the crowd out of the game. If LSU can withstand Bama's initial burst though, the crowd could play into the outcome big time.

I understand the revenge factor is strong for LSU, and it can be an awesome boost for a team psychologically. That said, sometimes it can backfire... you can try to force plays, or get lost in the details trying to make big plays, or else just play too tight.
I see a lot about the revenge factor for LSU, but I think some LSU fans assume that Alabama doesn't have unfinished business. I guarantee those boys don't want to lose 3 regular season games in a row to LSU. Maybe it will create the same motivation, or else maybe they will be too much in their heads... I still think the Alabama team has a little bit of a chip on their shoulder from losing last year in Tuscaloosa.

No.
I haven't seen anything out of LSU's offense to give me any concern. Emotion and motivation only gets you so far, eventually talent and execution take over, and Bama is superior in both of those categories.
Still have to line up and play the game, and there is a chance everything aligns for LSU Saturday night, but I'd put those chances at very small.

You have been more superior in execution, but talent? That's not the issue, let's hope the extra week to prepare will improve our execution on O.

Thanks for answering the OP's question

Lord knows it played a part on 1/9. Sometimes a team hits the field and there is just no way they lose that game. That was Bama on 1/9 imo. What is taking place in Death Valley on Saturday is unprecedented in our history, will be interesting to see how the fans and players respond
I pretty much agree with everything you have said, but this years Bama team looks different than any other I have ever seen. So Business like approach to each game. I know its CFB & anything can happen..

So you are saying LSU will show their lack of class by attacking Alabama fans? Nice to know you think so highly of your fan base

The revenge factor should concern Bama fans attending the game.
