You've spent a lot of time trying to convince me that you don't care what others think.

No, no I haven't. I was talking to other people, not you, about the national perception of Alabama. Then you hijacked this thread with your lunacy. You, sir, are a moron.

Leave it to a fan base that claims a split NC from a team that beat them at home that year(USC,1978)...to be excited about playing for a NC against another team that beat them at home that year.

Actually, I gave you a chance to debunk the stereotype. You failed miserably. Can't say that I'm surprised.

About to play for their second Crystal in three years and third overall, which will be more than any other team. Good enough for me.

Hey genius, you know LSU has 2 already also right? So after LSU wins(again) we will have more than any other school. SWIDT?

I appreciate your sarcasm.

That said, if your kickers were as reliable as some Bama posters have been...Bama might be the undefeated team right now.

Let's look at the whole context and you decide.

It was a thread about the national perception of Bama, not the legitimacy of MNCs, or whether anyone was scared, or whether a rematch was deserved or whatever.

Here's what I said:
quote:

We've been a team to hate for a long time. Absolute dominance in the 60s and 70s, recent resurgence, Saban, etc. We are aware people hate us, hate our history, hate our number of MNC's and SEC Championships, hate our coach. This may increase that. We are aware of that. Still no fricks given.

Here's his FULL response:
quote:

Read the thread until then. He had no point. I was talking about the perception of Alabama, and how we're used to being hated. What he begins responding with has no pertinence to this topic whatsoever. We weren't talking about being excited for an NC, we weren't talking about split titles, and we weren't talking about the Bee Gees. Just read the damn thread please.

Bama's about to play for their 3rd crystal ball, are they? I think that you're confusing them with LSU, dummy.

Champions since the inception of the BCS in 1998:

LSU 2003, 2007

Bama 2009

You did get the 2nd time in 3 years part right. So I guess that I should pat you on your little bicycle helmet.

The Crystal Ball Coaches Trophy has been used since the mid-80's.

LSU 2003, 2007
Bama 1992, 2009

You shouldn't begin insinuating someone's mentally challenged when they are clearly more knowledgeable than you.

Please do not get them started on this shite again.
I will say it for him so it will not have to be said. We understand that yall have two crystal balls. But he was talking about a bcs crystal ball.

Again, do not feel the need to make a hour long argument out of this.

Thousand upon thousands of recruits are about to witness Alabama hoist up the Crystal Ball for the 2nd time in 3 years. Somehow, I believe we'll survive a few OSU, Boise State, and Stanford fans being pissed

The trophy has been synonymous with the BCS championship since 1998. Thus I referenced that era.

However, if you still choose to use those guildelines...I'd still say that 3rd in 9 years clearly surpasses 3rd in 20.

Perhaps, you need to take your own advice.
