UNC got screwed cause we bent over for the NCAA, gave them access to everything voluntarily, had we not done that it likely would have been only Greg Little and Marvin Austin to get suspended as opposed to a quarter of our teams missing. it would have been a different season for sure

for starters we would've beaten LSU if Quinn, our entire starting secondary, starting RB, and multiple other players werent suspended as a result of Marv's stupidity

ha, winding down the day pointing out attention grabbing posters does not equate to valuable time.

Down time, certainly.

True, and if the NCAA comes knocking on any other school's door anytime soon asking questions, you can bet they won't cooperate.

Maybe not. I was at that game and it didn't feel like a win walking out of there, but it's not a given that you'd have won.

maybe we wouldn't have won, but that bomb Jefferson threw to Rueben Randle probably wouldnt happen if our entire starting secondary wasnt out, also Peterson might not have destroyed us so much on special teams if we werent missing so many players, and we might've been able to rack up more than 24 total rushing yards if Houston and Draughn (our top 2 backs, and only RBs with much experience) werent suspended

I live in NC and the way that UNC played through all kind of adversity and fought in every game is impressive.

Your post above is a lot of "ifs" and I'm just saying that you never know. We got pretty lackadaisical after getting up big and had backup DB's in on the 97 yard pass play, etc.

Ya'll certainly would have had a damn good shot though.

haha, obviously it included a bunch of ifs, we're talking about a hypothetical situation here

i still think we would've have won with all of our players, or just minus Marv and Greg, hard to tell though, the game would've have played out totally differently, i hate to think about the season that could've been

The ACC was pretty weak this year so you would likely have won it or come extremely close.

Good luck w/ the NCAA and I hope that all of the self policing UNC did on the front end of this thing helps you on the back end.

In AU's case, the NCAA comes right out and declares Cam eligible after AU declared him ineligible. Not "you play him at your own risk," it's "he's eligible."

Actually it is play at your own risk. They are still investigating - if they find anything Auburn is royally screwed

I swear some on here are completely brain-dead... Robert Quinn receiving extra benefits and was punished... Cecil or Cam recieved nothing and have not been punished.

thousands of dollars in jewelry > $0.... who would've thought it... that NCAA is Crazy, I tell ya.

We can argue about loopholes and things of that nature, but to sit here and compare other situations to Cam/Cecil's is apples to oranges... unique to say the least.

And another thing.... Why would the NCAA give two flying sh*ts about the Heisman or the BCS? The NCAA has no TV deal at stake (like it does with CBS's march madness). If anything, the backlash they've recieved would suggest they ruled against the 'popular' choice.

This statement that the NCAA is protecting itself doesn't hold water.

Regardless if Cam wins the Heisman, Auburn wins the Championship, it will always be tainted with corruption and lies!!!! The truth will all come out eventually and all the awards, championship, records will be erased. Enjoy while it lasts Auburn.....Gus is smart, can see the writing on the wall. He's leaving before it comes tumbling down!!

My point was that taking $ 5600 worth of jewelry from a jeweler in Miami and later returning it got Quinn permanently banned.

Asking a school for $ 180K doesn't even warrant a one game suspension.

I know that what they're accused of is apples and oranges, but the NCAA is totally inconsistent and you know it.

AJ Green sold his jersey, repaid the $$ and got suspended 4 games.
