I apologize for the comment. I am just enjoying Georgia's misfortune waaaaaaaaaaaay too much. Georgia fans were just so smug after the SEC Championship--even though it was clear both teams were not at full-strength at the second meeting. Suddenly, they were God's gift to college football. They claimed they had ascended to the point where Georgia and Auburn were no-longer rivals. Pride really is a horrible thing.

I see a ton of freshman and sophomore as backups and not seniors. Blazevich didn't do shite. Sanders and Parrish were average. The RBs, DL, and LB will be missed. UGA has signed 3 5*s and 10+ 4*s to fill those gaps. That doesn't include the massive OL they've got or the 4-5* DB/S they're bringing in. They're going to destroy the east again this year.

A couple of points about that.
1. Auburn fans gave us crap after the first game and leading up to the second game. That is why we gloated. It was payback.
2. Alabama was an injured team when Auburn played them, but you guys still claimed the victory and gloat about beating the two teams that played for the Natty.
3. We had a LB out and one of our RB's went down in either the second quarter or early in the third.

You'll have to show me a link to that. However, I will say this....Auburn fans (at least on this board) were pulling for Alabama to win. Alabama is supposed to be Auburn's #1 hated rival. What does that tell me? Auburn has given up being a rival to Alabama. they know they can't compete with Alabama, so they try to hang on to whatever perceived advantage they have on Georgia. Do you know what that advantage is? Your Natty came more recently that ours.
We have more:
wins all time as a program
Higher win % all time
More Bowl appearances
More Bowl wins
More SEC Championships
More consensus All-Americans
And the same number of National Championships
However, all of those numbers are fairly close. The two programs are near carbon copies of each other as far as accomplishments.

I didn't do the melting thread, Fibonnaci did. but send the link to him if you want. it doesn't look like a melt, to me, and I think the melt thread is more for melts connected to the Title game.

The truth is that if we take this years roster and compare it to the next three years roster, this years would have the least amount of talent based on composite rankings. The only spot on the field we are concerned with replacing are our DBs and they were the least effective unit we fielded.
