The 81 ga tech game was a Bill curry special. He always had that one spectacular win a year with a bunch of shitty losses.

87- upset defending national champs Penn state, beat 9-1-1 LSU, lost to 6-6 Florida and Memphis state.

88- beat Penn state, lost to ole miss

Bryant was also declining. He hadn't recruited well and it was showing. U also had the whole ga tech Bama thing which was way more intense than people today know. The blood was so bad between the two that they mutually ended (at the time) one of the south's longest series at 57 games which if they had kept playing, they would be on game number 92 this season.

We still can't get it together with them. One day we're gonna put our bullshite aside and play like we're supposed to.

LSU's loss to Vandy happened when Todd Kinchen got called for offensive pass interference in the end zone on a Hail Mary catch on the last play of the game.

What's really bad is LSU almost lost to Vandy at home the next season if not for a Vandy fumble deep in LSU territory near the end of the game.
