Actually, they may have just proceeded as if the Big 8 is the same conference as the Big 12. Some people do that

To answer your question, no Arky has never played a regular season game against an ACC team. They played Duke and GT back in the 50's and 60's in bowl games.

But it isn't.
There are Big 8 teams that now are in the PAC 12, Big12, and Big Ten.
The Big 12 was formed in 1996 then reformed in 2011 & 2012 losing Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and aTm. While adding TCU and West Virginia.

This is very confusing. How can you not know what conference the team across the field is in when you are playing them?

Seems like pretty simple common football knowledge to me.

I gotcha.
None of those temas were in the Big 12 at the time of kick off...mainly bec there was no Big 12. They should have added all the other conferences from the beginning of time to be accurate.
So what team, at kickoff, was in the ACC that you played?
