Dude can coach but has a massive ego. He is still very butt hurt that he was fired as an NFL Coach.
Kiffin is gonna choose whatever pathway he thinks gets him back to the NFL the fastest.
Kiffin believes if he goes back to the NFL and stays, that gives him a one up on Saban who was not a successful NFL Head Coach.
This is just how he is wired. All about ego and being able to troll people.
