Does the DSOR matter for the west champ? I cant remember of cross division games matter. In other words, if auburn loses to ga but beats bama, is auburn in or is bama in, assuming bama beats msu.

Decent possibility. Given Bama's performance against LSU and A&M, they look like a 2 loss team.

Alabama would be in. Auburn's conference record would be 6-2.
Alabama's conference record would be 7-1.

Ok, wasnt sure if they looked at overall conference record first or division record.

THIS IS ACTUALLY WRONG: [Auburn must win out in conference to advance. Any other result advances Alabama.]

That's the most concise interpretation.

Auburn loses to Georgia but wins the Iron bowl and Alabama loses out would advance Auburn.

Two way tie is:

1. HTH
2. Division record
3. HTH vs 2nd place division team including that team's out-of-division opponents. Then 3rd, 4th, etc...
4. Overall record v non-divisional teams
5. Combined record v non-divisional teams
6. Overall record v common non-divisional teams
7. HTH v best common non-divional opponent, 2nd, 3rd, etc
8. Best cumulative win% of non-divisional opponents.
9. Coin toss

Still riding Alabama's nuttz . The Tide are not losing and if they did the West still doesn't have a team even remotely close to replacing their dominance. Auburn would be the closest team and no one else.

Basically Alabama needs 1 more conference win + 1 Auburn loss.

Aubbie loses to Georgia and Alabama beats State, the Iron Bowl is for pride and nothing else.
