You're right. It didn't have anything to do with being the coach's son.

We moved on from playing little league, skipper. The OL coach has no fricking bearing on the depth chart.

Florida, if they actually show up on the field this season is going to have the #1 or #2 recruiting class in the nation, and doesn't lose too much going into 2015.

? No it wasn't, the SECe was 11-6 in the SECCG from '92='08. C'mon Vandy, I am disappointed, this is easily googleble.

Er...since I clearly already knew the records and outcome -- how else would I be able to give the details? -- your suggestion of googling was pointless.
My point wasn't that the SECe wasn't 11-6 over the range. My point was that call the entire range a domination is an exercise in misleading emphasis. The SECe dominated the mid-to-late 90s. The SECw has dominated the last few years. Between those two bookends, the two divisions have been pretty damned equal. Claiming that the SECe dominated a 17 year range and the SECw only dominated a 5 year one is simply a fatuous attempt to present the facts in the particular light you prefer.

Is South Carolina the best hope for the east this yr considering Mizzou was a fluke last year?
Probably, unless the rumors coming out of Gainesville about the spread option and shifting to the HUNH are true, Florida on paper has as much talent as anybody in the conference other than Bama, and defensively has shown it, the question is if the Gators actually go back to the spread option or if Muschamp continues ramming that square peg into a round hole.

You mean Florida dominated tSECCG from 1992 to 2008?
While true, the SEC East has had three different teams win the SECCG, while the West has had, you guessed it...three different teams win the SECCG. AND, the series record is SEC East 11 wins SEC West 11 wins

I know lsu has an extremely young offense this year, but those guys seem to have the maturity and talent to be great in 2015.
No doubt you will have a ton of talent coming back on offense. Will you lose much on the OL? How about the Defense?
This is not a troll, I am seriously asking. LSU always recruits well.

Man, these East teams just don't get how inferior they are. 32-13, 56-17, 42-14( I think...correct me if wrong), last second heart breaker in '12, and 59-42.
No doubt we have been down. But no worse than the West was when we were dominating. AND, maybe the West continues to dominate....but often it goes in cycles.

but the series was perfectly even from 1999-2008.
Unless I am mistaken, the series is completely even, now.

It is. 11-11. That just makes the arbitrary division even more silly. I'm not sure why he bothered with the whole 11-6 from 1992-2008 when one could just as easily say 10-5 from 1999-2013. Both are misleading in terms of the series.

In the meantime, have you seen the class SCAR is putting together for 2015?
Not bad, needs a Texas QB in there to be a real threat.
