Just considering that he's on the list as a potential HC hire for Auburn, got me thinking of his career.

Starting in 2001:
2001 - 2006 - USC - Positions coach leading to OC; part of coaches that were on staff when the Reggie Bush saga hit
2007 - 2008 - Oakland Raiders - HC - Fired after 4-12
2009 - Tennessee - HC - HC for one season, only team to come within 1 score of beating Alabama, then leaves.
2010 - 2013 - USC - HC - After great initial success, sees 2012 as pre-season #1 to finish unranked (first time since 1968). Makes it part way through 2013 before being fired.
2013-2016 - Alabama - OC - Brought in as part of the Nick Saban rehabilitation clinic, leads team to remarkable offensive numbers. Phones in final games before departing.
2017 - 2019 FAU - HC - Wins 2 CUSA championships in 3 years at FAU. Has 5-7 season sandwiched between, then leaves.
2020 - Ole Miss - 4-4 record going into final game. One year in, already being mentioned for other jobs.

Number of HC stints over 3 years long: 0
Number of 1-year HC stints: 2 (possibly going on 3)
Number of different SEC teams he's coached at: 3 (possibly going on 4)

I remember when he was absolutely hated in the SEC in the mid 2000s. Very different now.

Not going anywhere this year.

But us an OM fans are going to get the same treatment that MSU got with Mullen each year if he has success....Every single offseason his name will be floated.

He was ready to sign on the dotted line at Arkansas twice, to fill Bielema's spot, and then again to fill Morris' spot

Both times the rug was pulled out by a certain faction that's been causing division in Hog Nation for at least 15 years
