Saban has won two Nattys without even winning the SEC in those years. Hahaha that’s bizarre as hell. That’ll be a trivia question some day

No and neither has the SECW runner-up. If you a 1 or 2 loss team in the East, but not in the SECCG... you won't get the bama bump.
They would if one were to win 5 championships in 10 years. See how that works?

Tell that to 2008 Florida, 2013 Auburn (not to mention Michigan state beating OSU to get auburn in, 2014 Ohio State, 2015 Michigan state, and 2017 Georgia
All teams that made the BCSCG/Playoff but would not have had there not been a championship week

List of non-Bama fans who felt sympathy for Alabama in 2008 when undefeated Alabama had to play a Florida team in the SECCG even though they had a loss

The conference titles died years ago when the BCS came on board. When conferences had bowl tie ins for the champ it was big.
This is just false. This year 7/8 participants in the SEC, B1G, Big 12, and ACC championship games were almost guaranteed to make the playoffs with a victory. Conference championship week has never been better
