The committee did not select “the four best teams.”

If they had, Georgia would still be in.
THAT is my beef with the selections. They’re clearly not being truthful about why they chose the teams they did.
If you were to pick the four best teams for a neutral site playoff, there’s no question that Alabama and Georgia BOTH would be in.
The real reason they tanked FSU is TV money, plain and simple. That’s what I hate about it. Money should NOT be driving the decision making. We all know it does, but to be so open about it is disgusting and ruining the sport.
Congrats to Alabama on a terrific season and especially for a fantastic coaching job by Saban and company. The turnaround from September is unreal.

Who says Georgia is one of the 4 best teams? They couldn't even win their conference.

It's worse in basketball. Why the frick should an 8th place team that goes .500 in their conference get to compete for a national championship? Because the more teams that get in, the more games on TV, the more money, yada yada yada.
A third of the teams in the NCAA basketball tournament every year have no business being there.

It doesn’t matter. We lost. 4 best is very subjective. There were 6 or so teams (maybe more) you could argue were 4 best.

On the balance of things I’m happy with how well UGA fans are taking what I believe is a screw job.
My top 4 includes UGA.

If the goal truly is the “4 best” there’s no realistic condition that excludes UGA.
