The bowls realizing giving players an Xbox and sandals

Ain’t going to cut it anymore. The only way to save the bowls is if they adapt and do what killed them - pay up.
For example If the Gator Bowl said, every player (not opted out) of the losing team receives $10k, winning team players receive $20k, offensive and defensive players of the game receive $50k then I think it’d be significant.
Scale the pay to whatever it needs to be to get the players hyped for the mac n cheese grapefruit bowl.
In reality, most kids aren’t getting much in the NIL world. Save the bowls - pay the dough.

In an ideal world, there are few enough bowl games where winning 7-8 games is how you become bowl eligible
