No. It is not fair to the winning team, they won the game previous to the MNC game. How do the voters of the various polls vote? Do they vote for the team that won the first time or the second?
Remember we had this discussion in 2006 where UF was not worthy to play the mighty OSU and they mopped the floor with OSU when everyone thought they shouldn't get the chance. This is why I support a +1 setup, if you get a rematch then it is because they were able to beat the other teams.
