There are close to 200 Bama fans on this board, and like 7 Gator fans. So there is a much higher odds of finding dickheads in the larger sampling. Throw in that people will generally overlook or justify the dickheads in their own fanbase, or the ones they at least temporarily identify with...PLUS success in another fan base rubs others the wrong way anyway, and you have a good head start to threads like this one.
As a Bama fan who has been here since 2007, I've seen PLENTY of arrogance and had lots of shite slung my way by all of the fanbases you've said aren't arrogant. LSU fans here have PLENTY of arrogant assholes in their ranks, but I've never let that deter me from pulling for them HARD in the BCSNCG...and just as hard for the Gators in theirs.
