So where's Liberty?

FSU played better against a common opponent.
Eh. Both games were tied at the half, both teams held LSU to one score in the second half. Neither team punted in the second half.

FSU beat 8 bowl teams.
Making a bowl game is hardly impressive criteria.

The ACC had a winning head to head record against the SEC this year.
Thanks to beating Vandy and South Carolina.
The SEC had more wins against teams with a winning record in the ACC (3) than the ACC did against teams with a winning record in the SEC (1).

Alabama looked like dog crap in several games.
FSU had single digit wins against Boston College (2 points), Clemson (OT), Miami (7), and Florida (9).

Pushing an undefeated team out of a top 4 slot after they beat a ranked team in their conference championship game defeats every ethical and traditional aspect of college athletics.
Talk about inventing a narrative.

FSU earned a slot on the field of play.
Apparently not.

I wouldn't exactly call Alabama being "the best" given the struggles they faced during the season. How do you say FSU going 13-0 is hindered due to their qb being injured, but Alabama barely beating UGA & needing a lucky break at the end of the IB to beat a so-so Aub. team who lost the prior game.
Now, what I will say is there is no definitive instructions that this committee is held to. My opinion is different than yours whose is diferent than the next person's & so forth. &, each year it seems that a collective "WTF?" is made about the committee's decisions because what is used for measurement one year is ignored the next.
&, as I have always pointed out (along with many in the YouTube comments), this format of 4 slots for 5 conferences was wrong from the start.
In conclusion, people are just more mad about the format & the explaining of the factors for the decisions.

Georgia and Ohio State was excluded from that group because of head-to-head losses
Texas beat Alabama in the H2H.

I have difficulty with this point because HOW does it compare SPECIFICALLY to Alabama & FSU instead of the whole conference?

And so they were rewarded by being ahead of Alabama in the final rankings.

But we were told "to only focus at games at the end of the year - ESPECIALLY when dealing with FSU".
