I find them to be very misinformed about their place on the totem pole of the world. We keep taking their recruits at will and they seem to just keep thinking they are a top tier program.

Sounds like an epidemic to me.
MO is like TN, they have to go to other states to fill a roster. Locking down the state gives you nothing.

4* #12 RB in the country for '12 decommitted from Mizzou and committed to Arkansas.
4* OT Evan Bohem decommitted from Mizzou and is taking an official to Auburn this weekend.
Will Hines is decommitting from Mizzou soon and will open up again with an official visit to Arkansas (this is straight from Mizzou boards)
And this is just within the last few weeks!

You won't find a single person who says Mizzou is a "top-tier" program.
We root for our team, and we are glad that Suitcase Mike has left (though we disappointed that he lies to his players, I don't care if he lies to the media).
We don't expect the best, and apparently we don't even go for high level recruits. When Pinkel wants something he will take it. Like Jeremy Maclin from OU, or Blaine Gabbert from the Nubs.
If all we get is 2 and 3* leftovers then Pinkel will continue to do what he has done.
Now if we can start pulling in 4-5*s, well that is a conversation for a year in the future that may not happen.
