OU fans were great on our trip out to Norman. Some of the friendliest folks I've come across. They were like "Tennessee brought a ton of fans last week and SC has a pile of fans this week, do all SEC fans travel like this? We never saw this with Big 12 teams."

That part is different. Although some of it is due to familiarity. But the private Big XII schools (Baylor and TCU) don't have big fan bases. Kansas doesn't travel because they have been bad.

K-State, Oklahoma State, Tech and Iowa State will travel if they are excited about their team.

Obviously Nebraska traveled about as well as any team in the country when they were a conference member.

I'm just curious if SEC fans will keep coming to Norman after the "new" wears off because it is a long ways away from pretty much everybody but Arkansas.

I do miss playing more teams from the state of TX

Nah, playing A&M again matters more than the rest of those schools combined. The animosity is what makes the series fun.
