Apparently not every UTa or Aggie fan feels like you do. There seems to be a deep simmering hatred between your schools judging from the posts we have been seeing on this board for years. It’s like Bama - Auburn on steroids.
As for Texas’s AD to begin his teams time in the SEC by making such an arrogant, belligerent statement was stupid as frick. He may or not have been drunk, but he is going to find out soon enough that he and Texas aren’t gonna be running things in this conference. All he did is give the SEC schools even more incentive to beat the crap outta Texas. And celebrate like mad when they do. HORNS DOWN!!!

Alabama and Auburn seem to genuinely hate each other..
Texas and A&M fans hate losing to each other.. but we don’t hate each other for the most part.. we are both Texans and outside of sports. we usually stand together..
This may be pretty important soon given the political landscape.

I would classify Texas - Texas A&M as a strong rivalry. In order to have a rivalry it has to be an opponent who can give you some competition.
They and most of CFB are expecting them to come into College Station and win. Elko is a defensive Coach which plays to our crowd being almost batshite crazy.
This game is going to be by far the most hostile environment and physical game they have ever played in. I fully expect the refs are gonna step back and let the teams play.
