I'm not sure why I'd be embarrassed at telling the truth. Silly aggies, everyone knows that Rick Perry had piss-poor grades at aggyland. He wasn't much of a student so the ROTC exemption made sense over the student deferment, which he could lose for said piss-poor grades. The student deferment did, indeed, end in 1971.

If he was such a hero, why didn't he just join the Army and let them pay for his aggy indoctrination, later?

So according to you, Air Force pilots' service is less than that of Army Soldiers?

Only 3 more rounds of moving the goalposts until you violate Godwin I guess.

UW regents assail ex-athletic director over growing deficit
A University of Washington regent slammed former athletic director Scott Woodward on Thursday, saying Woodward did not let the governing board know about a growing deficit in the UW athletic department’s budget.

Regent Jeremy Jaech, the board’s vice chair, described it as “a bad-faith effort” on Woodward’s part to use one-time money, paid in advance to UW for multimedia advertising, and apply it to the budget. Jaech called it “an attempt to make the numbers look better than they really were.”

Woodward left the UW in January for a similar position at Texas A&M.

So the only heroes in our military are the ones who join the Army? Yeah go tell someone in the Marine Corps that and see what happens.

When regents approved the renovation in 2010, they knew that if attendance was worse than expected, the loan could cause the university’s bond rating to be downgraded.

From that same article. Steve Sarkisian left the program in bad shape and Chris Petersen has been slowly building it back up, but 15 years of mediocre football has caused a "wait and see" attitude here.

They're currently ranked 8th in the country and won't even come close to selling out the game this weekend or next. The game last weekend had several empty seats and the STUDENT SECTION was only half full (their student section is the south endzone around the band).

The fanbase that attends games here is very loyal...but the surrounding 1 million plus in the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia area couldn't care less.

Two aggy state legislators filed bills to force it to continue, back in '11 or '12, I think.

It was one.
In 2013.
Filed by Rep. Ryan Guillen (D-Rio Grande Valley).

My God. It was THREE. Why do y'all doubt me?

State Sen. Tommy Williams, R-The Woodlands, said he will file legislation during the 83rd session of the Texas Legislature in 2013 to instruct both Texas A&M and UT to continue their longstanding Thanksgiving football game.

Rep. John Otto, R-Dayton, will sponsor the legislation in the Texas House, according to a press release from Williams' office

Guillen, Otto and Williams are all aggy.

Did they actually file and sponsor? Provide proof...and you said they filed in '11 or '12...when the article you quoted clearly says 2013.

I don't care if 10 misguided souls tried to play politics with football.
They weren't successful.
And they're dorks.
