Poor LSU. Has A&M on the brain 24/7.

It is kind of easy to do when I don’t start topics about other teams

USC has no claim to 1939 despite Dickinson selecting them. USC didn’t claim the title for years until then AD Mike Garrett decided to honor the remaining living members of the 1939 team as National Champions in the summer of 2004.
Aggies are the only champions of 1939.

As if winning your last one in '39 is bad enough ... A&M only gets one by beating #5 Tulane in the Sugar Bowl 14-13. Talk about a down season for all.
Damn, A&M‘s best recruiting class ever really seems to be bothering you.

FWIW the 1919 team was the most badass team of all time.
In 1917 they went undefeated, untied, and unscored upon. Then they enlisted en masse and kicked the crap out of the Germans. Came back to A&M and in 1919 AGAIN went undefeated, untied, and unscored upon.

We aren't a British school. Oh, I am guessing you just suck at history.

Ok...here's something weird about that season.
Remember, the NC was named at the end of the regular season (December 11th).
On December 4th, Tennessee was #1 and Texas A&M was #2. A&M had already finished their season, and Tennessee had 1 game left. On December 9th, Tennessee beats Auburn to finish the regular season unscored on, while A&M is idle...but A&M jumps Tennessee (despite not playing) and is awarded the NC on the 11th.

That's something you'd say if you had nothing else to say.

I guess style points mattered even back in 1939.
