frick you a-hole. That's why I said hopes and prayers now. Aggie jokes can come at another appropriate time.

Hate to hear this any update on the victims?

I hope you are not a cadet. In my 8 years in the Air Force, (during the 60's and early 70's) the Academy officers were pretty classy. Surely standards have not slipped that far.

Sad story, but you are crabby. This board is going to eat you for lunch if you stick around.

Honestly, my intent for the topic was not to stir up shite, but to clearly ask people to think of these men (who worked for a very upstanding GC) and their families. No different than I would think of anyone else at any other school. I thought it was a nice gesture to reach oit to our SEC friends outside of the everyday sports rivals. I know that my family was very blessed to drive to Tuscaloosa, after the tornado, and help many, many people as best we could... and honestly, I didn't care if they were Tide fans or not, and many were quite happy just getting an Aggie shirt that we had to offer from our closets.
As far as the facility itself... well, as my wife was a member of the National Championship Equestrian Team, we are quite familiar with what is going on. It os largely funded by private donors. It is actually a multi-use facility which will allow all of the Horse Science Center, Equestrian Team, Mounted Cavalry, etc, to be located in one location together. The Equestrian Team had been leasing space from the Expo Center, the Horsw Science Center is not near any of the Animal Science and veterinary grounds and the Mounted Cavalry is near... well... nothing. This was a necessary move that needed to occur.
With regard to the workers who wee injured, last I heard a few hours ago, is that one is in quite critical condition.
With regatd to our hispanic labor force, I wish Washington would get off their arse and legalize them. They work, work hard and fill positions in the work force. I have hired many an employee in my years, and Ialways offered pay for positions that were competative without regard to race, age, etc. When a person walks in the door, meets the qualifications and gives you documents that have the presence of being legal government documents, well... they can be hired.
Thank you to those that thought of these injured men and for those that didn't really give a shite and wanted to act like assholes, well carry on, you have that freedom in this country and I appreciate that you do have it. It always comes back around in life to bite you in the arse at some point.

Are you related to agressor?
Posted on 6/23/13 at 7:24 pm to WhiskerBiscuitSlayer
Don't know the agressor, so I would be inclined to say no.
Why the f$/' do my posts always double post? Anyway... I stay pretty calm and laid back, speak wisely, but get pissed off and retaliate rather easily... yes a very contradicting post, but I damn sure know I will handle this site well. TexAgs General Board can prepare anyonefor any message board.

No just no. I'm a contractor and I've seen countless companies fold in the last several years... you know of legal us citizens. Migrants drive down the cost of labor. Sure we could hire crews of immigrants and slash labor costs, but we refuse. In the words of billy madison "I choose business ethics" Sometimes entirely preventable construction "accidents" are the result of cut rate labor.

I hope everyone recovers. Sorry to hear this.
Posted on 6/23/13 at 8:21 pm to ehole
I don't disagree with business ethics, BUT where do you cut costs in your business to make up for your competitors who choose to knowingly hire illegals. I am still in the construction industry and workers come in with legal ss csrds and drivers license and that is all an I9 requires. So, if they got a SS card and DL illegally, you can't know that. I am against knowingly hiring illegal immigrants.
