My favorite is how all of you are suddenly angry about how he treated the reporter but Monday night, no one cared.
In fact, some of you criticized the reporter for asking the question.

Not true. Our baseball team made it to the CWS and had to take a bus. People were pissed.

You get hung up on the most insignificant crap all the time. Trying to find “gotchas” behind every corner.
Apparently some overheated folks have apologized to Richard Zane for criticizing him.
Why would an LSU fan be critical of zealous fans, when their fans are the most insane, overreactive, and zealous fans in the SEC?

I'm sure they did apologize, now.
Funny how that works.

Again, you are misreading the situation. They aren’t angry at how he treated the reporter. It’s what he said and the hypocrisy of it in the situation. I know it’s hard for you to understand the nuance.

Trev Albert's has always come off as a dickhead to me.

This is almost as good as your AD claiming to spend 4-5 hours in a cemetery in Snook brokering a deal.
Almost.

Hey, if the story is false, Trev can just deny it publicly, right? I mean, the cult propaganda machine will eat up whatever he says immediately, so why not?

I believe only Aggies understand the nuance of the Aggie mind.

No one is believing that shite but Texas fans. If you’re AD hid out for 4-5 hours he’s a fricking idiot with too much time on his hands. Schloss is already making CDC his lap dog.
Better get started on that new ball park! Lol

It's crazy to me that Aggies can't believe that the dude would wait in a cemetery but they don't question that their entire coaching staff was recruiting for another school for months during the middle of a title run and no one said anything.

Fisher was the first true scoundrel that now passed it on to players and other coaches.

I don’t think he was in the cemetery. I think he was at Schloss’ house probably. His property is right behind the cemetery…confirmed through county appraisal district. It’s under an LLC called HOMERUN.
Not sure if he was recruiting HS kids away from A&M, but I suspect he sat down and talked to current A&M players about following him to Texas. If he did that, recruiting against A&M while employed there doesn’t seem like a stretch.
ETA: doesn’t really matter. It’s over and done with.

Uhhhh… I think you’re missing the big picture here.
Our AD just closed a deal on a baseball coach that took a program that had not appeared in a championship game since Gone With the Wind was being filmed and got them one run away from a baseball championship and ALL HIS STAFF, in less than 24 hours after the last pitch of the game was thrown.
And it appears he would have had this delivered even if that same coach had won a national championship.
He did that in hours. Maybe the most Herculean task a college baseball coach ever could have accomplished in three seasons and it was closed within hours.
Can you even think of a coach that played for a championship and won or lost but left within 24 hours of that championship and switched teams? Or even switched teams before the next season started? Johnny Majors and Roy Williams may be the only coaches in history to do it and neither were within 24 hours. And neither of those coaches had just completed the highly improbable rags to riches miracle that Schloss had just accomplished. Truly one of the greatest coaching feats in history.
If that’s CDC having too much time on his hands, he appears to have earned it.

Doesn't make sense.
FWIW, I don't believe the cemetery thing either, I think this deal was done in Hoover at the SEC tournament.

Not that it doesn’t sting—it does and I get it. But Lincoln Riley left in the. Middle of the night with a heisman QB and about 13 other players and the NCAA didn’t even yawn.

Asked and answered.
No one is believing that shite, least of all me. National media thinks it’s a ridiculous claim.
Fact is he wouldn’t have fired Pierce unless he had a commitment from someone. That alone flies in the face of this 24 hours bullshite.

Semantics. I think the “would you come to Texas?” Hypothetical conversation around interest happened as you say. After Schloss and Alberts had that weird “if you want to leave, you can do” conversation.
I don’t think the terms or the contract was worked out until Monday after the championship. And CDC posted a picture of himself hanging out in that old cemetery to his twitter so it seems to be a true anecdote.
