Same logic applies to all teams on here when it fits the narrative

I don't think record against final top 10 teams is a whole lot better, do you?

Considering Tennessee's track record since 2006, I'd be pretty surprised.

But it really does. I’ve seen people pull that crap with UGA when they said Kirby couldn’t defeat top teams. Same with UF and Dan Mullen’s record. People use whatever metric pushed their narrative

Oh I misunderstood. I thought you meant a better measuring stick, not specifically Tennessee's record. Ignore me

Welcome to the rant, where everything’s made up and the stats don’t matter

But they aren't stat, they're results. And they aren't made up.

You can argue they don't mean much, but that's a different argument.

True or false, the last 37 teams that Tennessee has played that were ranked in the top 10 when they played them, have beaten the Vols?

That is a perfectly valid response to the question I was asked. Sorry you can’t read

Only when it's us does this change. When we beat a team ranked high at the start of the season someone will tell us well they didn't finish at X. If we beat a team that finishes well we get told 'well they weren't ranked when you played.'

I only went back to 2010 (stopped once I got to 38 losses)

If we stick to final AP v top 10, the Vols are 1-32

If we change it to top 25 the Vols are 6-41 since then
