UGA attempted a grand total of 4 passes in the second half. 3 were on the first drive of the second half.
You need to realize the difference between one team salting away a sure win and another actually playing well enough to keep it close.

Against Florida he threw into triple coverage at least 5 times. Saw a few times against Tennessee as well. The smart thing to do with how bad our offense was playing was to run the clockout.....rain or no rain.
Kirby does go in the run out the clock mode with a big lead when the defense is clicking.
But it's pretty dumb to think that an offense that has put up 24 points in a half against your team couldn't continue to work in the second half if UGA hadn't go into "win the game ASAP" mode.

Hooker had been hitting them cause the WRs had a little more space than they did saturday. The windows were smaller and he just isn’t accurate enough against tighter coverage.

The rain held him in check because your D sure as hell couldn’t. He owns the vols. 3-0 and this was the easiest one yet.

He didn't hit them because we got pressure on him. This has been literally covered on several film studies on Tennessee's offense. He missed some like that vs. Pitt as well because they got someone in his face. He's a one read, then scramble QB. Throws a great deep ball when comfy in the pocket. Throws decent short passes to the side. Not that great in the middle of the field in the ten to 20 air yard range.

It was kind of what the Titans did to Mahomes last night, but the difference is Mahomes is actually better outside of the pocket and I don't know the stats off hand but I imagine Hooker is significantly worse.
