am hearing the very real possibility that UT may end up having to vacate wins by Pruitt in addition to bowl game ban this season along with additional scholly cuts added to those already made.

Any traction to this grapevine news?

None of us care if we vacate Pruitt's Era. We'd like to forget it. It would erase the 3 win stain on our record so I see it as a positive. But I haven't heard anything other than Drinkwitz whining about Pruitt's 3 win team beating him and how he wants that vacated to improve his record.

And no way we get a bowl ban this year. Zero chance.

No I don't hope. If Danny White thought we were going to get a bowl ban this season he'd have self-imposed it last season. Truth is we won't get one this season.

I thought Tennessee had been vacating wins every year since 2002

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. UT could be in for some tough punishment. McDonald$ bags!!! Wow that was a really smart idea. Lol

NCAA just told us we set the standard of how to deal with things. You don't make that statement and turn around and hammer who you upheld as a standard bearer. We have already imposed big restrictions. There's a reason we played with 69 last season.

Also like it or not, the changes make what Pruitt did damn irrelevant. That said, I think NCAA gives him a show cause but UT gets away with reductions and recruiting penalties. If there's any bowl ban it will be one where you get to pick when within a time frame. If something like that comes down then it won't be this season. It might be next season.

Let's not forget the co-conspirator in all this. The Great Pumpkin, Phil Fulmer. After all, no sense in getting too self-righteous about all this systemic cheating.

The McDonald's bag really stuck with folks but what damns Pruitt isn't that. What really does him in his his wife's involvement because it shows a level of intention. She was a former compliance officer at FSU. There's just no deniability there at all given what they did.

None of it was particularly awful (the largest payment was 6k and the 2nd largest 3k for a mother's medical bills) but they showed a pattern and desire to systematically break the rules. They were just buying shite -- gear, hotels, food, etc. and turning unofficial visits into luxury trips.

No. You know it was UT’s brilliant idea. Just like hiring Jeremy as a HC.

Oh please. Fulmer was there to rally donors and fans. That's the extent of his involvement. That said, it wouldn't surprise me at all if you gumps didn't burn Pruitt just to get to Phil but without realizing Pruitt was so stupid about it he's gonna get a show cause.

I read that it was over $72,000 of stuff. Not much by today’s standards but it was still an NCAA violation and Jeremy and his spouse got caught red handed. I say hang UT out to dry. Time to pay. They did the crime and now they need to do the time.

Then how come Pruitt's the only one that's done it? Even Kiffin didn't do that.

Ever notice that almost every time UT is involved in a scandal that Pfat Phil is always standing back there in the shadows? Hmmm

Yep but other than the two large payments it's mostly them giving out free gear, paying for meals, hotels, etc. Basically, doing luxury stuff for recruits that you're not allowed to do. They did it for everyone tho. There's smaller payments to players, I'm sure (I haven't gone through the entire NOA) but it's mostly a systematic thing that added up to something large rather than them dropping 30k or 40k on a player.

Given our actions they're not going to hang us. They're going to hang Pruitt.
