What's wrong with fake boobs? Spend some time in Dallas and you'll learn to love em.

I also love all the Texas envy on this thread.

Texas envy? I used to live there. I fricking hate it.

Why do people think Dallas and Houston are so great? Seriously, a downtown, then a bunch of strip malls, and a shitload of horribly organized, spread out suburbs for miles and miles and miles doesn't a good city make.

Give me DC, NYC, Boston, Chicago, New Orleans, or San Francisco before you give me Dallas and Houston.

Dallas blows. Unless you like strip malls and guidos. Then it's probably awesome.

But, dude, they've got a Galleria and like 30 What-a-burgers. And a SIX FLAGS!

ETA: There are some things I love about Texas, though. Perfectly cooked beef brisket, Willie Nelson, The Texas Rangers, good fishing and hunting, etc. I just think Texas' cities are vastly overrated.

I would add that the Twisted Root Burger company in Richardson, TX (Dallas suburb) has the best burgers and root beer I've ever tasted.

Other than that, Dallas pretty much sucks balls

No homeless in Dallas, they give them bus tickets to Austin. So DC is ruled out of whatever argument you have ever. San Fran is dirty and cold, and has the same homeless grossness.

Never been to Boston or Chicago.

NYC is better.

New Orleans is the greatest city in the country.

And Houston is gross. No zoning, and the humidity is disgusting.

But Dallas is a very pretty city, imo.

Also, what makes Texas great isn't Dallas or Houston... Places like College Station do.

I've still never really been to San Fran outside the airport, but I'm not really a California person. I agree with the rest though. Chicago would probably be tops for me as far as place to live and visit. Dallas and Houston have some very, very nice wealthy areas and some really shitty areas like most other cities but they were both built fairly recently and don't have the old historical things that the other cities mentioned have. If you know your way around either city really well you can have a great time living there.

The great things about Texas are definitely not the cities. The hill country, the lakes and rivers, BBQ, and hunting and fishing as you mentioned are.

The land that LSU is currently built on used to belong to my family and was location to 2 of our slave plantations prior to the Civil War.

Lol. Bragging about slavery, bro?

In Texas, after all you Dixieland pussies lost the War of Northern Aggression for us, we were still using slaves for 3 years. Juneteenth is fun in downtown Dallas.

The homeless really aren't all that prevalent in DC anymore (I guess they're in Baltimore now). They're really only downtown. And they're not NEARLY as big a problem as they are in NYC and SF. The homeless in DC are charming, in a crazy way.

Also, I'm not an elitist piece of shite so I don't really have a problem with poor people*. I'm not one and I'm cool with that.

*Except for State fans

I'm just joking, beautiful. I think the overall tone and mentioning Juneteenth would have given that away.
