You hope it is something as innocuous as that but at 6 PM on Sat evening and 16 years old? The story says the investigation is continuing and it should given the tragedy and the circumstances. At the lake wouldn't be something that would make a teen fall asleep. Certain activities that could cause drowsiness and one to actually fall asleep behind the wheel occur at the lake and before and after. Maybe the kid has a physical condition. He had to be flying to cause that kind of trauma from a rear ender. Again I have no clue about what transpired

I just had an accident like this in April. I couldn't have been doing more than 35 because I had just pulled into the street a block before it happened, this dumb fat redneck bitch made a left turn directly in front of me and I had maybe half a second to react and barely was able to touch the brakes before I t-boned the frick out of her. Her car rolled into its side, and my the front end of my car was smashed in and I was only saved from going in a ditch and probably rolling because I got caught by the steel wire that was anchoring a power pole.
Luckily there were no serious injuries, but bc she was so fat and couldn't climb out on her own they had to use the jaws of life to cut off her passenger door and part of her roof to get her out.
This was a few days before Auburn's Final Four game, I would've been so pissed if I had died bc of a fat redneck just days before Auburn's first Final Four, after suffering through all those years of watching Lebo and Barbee teams. Better believe I would've haunted tf out of her and her trashy family.

True accidents do happened.
Vehicular homicide is often accidental. Driving while sleeping is pretty reckless & should still have legal consequences.

Sure it could. Stay up late the night before, spend the whole day in the sun swimming/skiing/etc., you're going to be tired driving home at the end of the day. Even a teenager.

Anyone thats done any boating especially waterskiing, tubing combined with a lot of summer sun can really sap you on our trips home from the lake which was around 30 minutes usually my wife and daughter were both out before We arrived.

If there was no alcohol involved, then no, the young man shouldn't serve time. He will already have enough trauma to deal with that sending him to prison helps nobody

Very similar. The driver was making a left turn.
You and I both are quite fortunate.
