Just to be clear...it is not, in your mind, insecure for Alabama fans to be on here saying they really didn't lose the National Championship game? Or the only reason they lost is because two players got injured?

Facts are facts. Just because you run from them does not make them less true. We had a scoop and score called back and it took a fumble at the 15 yard line for Alabama to score their only TD.

Bama had 0 points in the 1st quarter in game 1. Williams went out on a long pass at about the same time as the long TD in the 1st game. And that was without Metchie.

Turns out he was allowed to play anywhere from 7-20 snaps rather than 48-64 snaps.
Quite the reduction.
Bama got lucky as frick he got hurt.

The medical advisors / draft advisors limited his snap count to 20 plays.
Bama losing by 15 points cut that 20 snaps down to 18 in the NCG.
George was pushing for a 1st/2nd round draft grade. He didnt need to play at all. He didnt need to risk injury.
The snap count was the compromise that his handlers agreed to in order to let George do what George wanted to do.

He played SC in both seasons. Let’s see what happened :
2020: 164
2021: 181
17 point improvement. Wow. He followed that up with a crazy 264. Then he had a long term injury.
Obviously Bama got lucky they got an improved Bennett over an improved JTD.
