Want me to link the countless threads of Bama fans using this as a weak excuse?

I don't give a frick what any other Bama fan has ever said. I don't speak for them, and they sure as hell don't speak for me.

Come back when you want to have that serious discussion.

One of Alabama’s touchdown drives got a boost when linebacker Terez Hall was flagged and ejected for targeting. Hall met Harris at the line of scrimmage and tackled him for no gain, but a replay official paged a referee on the field and the hit was reviewed. Replay showed that Hall hit Harris’ head with the crown of his own helmet, so Hall was removed from the game and Alabama awarded eight yards and a first down.

Current rules do not keep him out of the three man rotation in Birmingham replay center

That's great. Back to the OP.

So, Bama has benefited at almost a 70% rate in their SEC games this year due to targeting?

And...when was Bama last flagged for targeting?

Because your bitch arse keeps moving the goalposts from conspiracy theory, tin foil hats, to it wasn't the ref, to who that ref's boss is, doesn't matter...

Stay focused, Gump!

So you just said "frick it, I'll tell everybody it was him!"

Well you know how to play to your audience

. So not only was it not David Smith, your blurb proves that the call was fricking correct!

Well, we can't have that, now, can we?

Pretty sure everyone involved with video reviews have retired from on-field duty. So, yeah. Current rules keep him out of the rotation.

Steve Shaw, but I don't think he's in the replay officials' chain of command.

He's the Head of Officiating for the SEC, Bamabot.

Really? That's like saying the CFO isn't in the chain of command for accounts payable.

Let's just go back to your honest discussions, moron!

ME: And it just so happens that these rules are interpreted by Bama grads and fans in striped shirts who sit behind tv screens in Birmingham (a fact that you cannot dispute).

YOU: Name these Bama grads and fans.

Come on...don't mess with the conspiracy theory by asking me to back up this Trump-like assertion that (1) sounds awesome and (2) may well be false. As has been previously established, a cum laude Bama grad is involved, although he officially can't intervene in the moment—but that doesn't mean he doesn't exert influence. I honestly could only find names for the 2017 replay crew. Even so, a minimum of 20% of the replay officials are Bama grads. That seems high... :) Plus, simply being in Birmingham means that you're always around people who eat, sleep, and (mouth) breathe Alabama football. You can't escape it. Which is why the replay officials should be in a real city, a bigger city without such strong football allegiances. A city like Atlanta, Nashville, or even Charlotte.

Whew. Conspiracy theory revived. Maybe even strengthened!

Incredibly egregious targeting call

Daniel Bituli.

Ejected for Targeting with 3:00 left in the game at the end of a Tennessee blowout win

His coach disagrees with you...

quote:

The first-year coach of the Vols instead pointed to the poor technique Bituli used in delivering a helmet-to-helmet hit on Auburn running back Malik Miller with less than two minutes left in the game and the Tigers in desperation mode down two scores.

quote:

"The targeting rule is here to protect our game, and not only is it to protect the players that get hit, but it's also something to protect the guys who deliver the hits," Pruitt said during his Monday press conference. "I don't think in any way was Daniel trying to hurt the guy, but his technique was he had his eyes down, and as he approached the ballcarrier, the guy kind of slumped down and they did hit head to head. Coaching point for him and the rest of our team, and it'll help protect him as you always need to keep your eyes up when you're tackling.
