For most SEC big men that is good numbers but for Sidney he got criticized all season long.

Most big men are able to get into shape within the first few games of the season. Sidney took a whole year and still didn't do it. Most big men play good defense. Sidney does not. Most good big men hustle. Sidney does not. Most big men keep their mouthpiece in their mouth. Sidney does not. Most big men are lean and muscular. Sidney is not. Most big men block shots. Sidney makes sad attempts at taking charges because he's too tired.

Having Sidney in shape and dedicated to playing hard and winning games?

What could Stans do to pull a rabbit out of his hat this summer? I don't think we will have any coaching changes.

Considering Florida who win 2 titles in that span and Kentucky one of the all time winningest programs of all time are ahead of us doesn't make my comment that laughable

Every other person in this thread disagrees.

We have been good in basketball 3 of the last 5 decades- Bundy acts like basketball didnt exist before Stands. We are in the top half of the SEC in conference titles. Our program doesnt suck.

Yeah. We were great w/ Bob Boyd. I'm sorry. I'm a State fan, but I can't go back to 1965 looking for success.

Babe McCarthy 1956-1965 169-85 .665
Joe Dan Gold 1966-1970 51-74 .408
Kermit Davis 1971-1977 91-91 .500
Ron Greene 1978 1978 18-9 .667
Jim Hatfield 1979-1981 40-42 .488
Bob Boyd 1982-1986 55-87 .387
Richard Williams 1987-1998 191-163 .540
Rick Stansbury 1999-Present 272-151.643

Since Babe, the only success we've had was in the 90's and 00's. Guess who was the only constant through those 2 decades?

With his latest recruiting efforts, I see more success coming. If he fails again with these two classes, I'll be the first one on board with running him off. I honestly believe he'll get it done. He's at his best when the pressure is on.
I don't understand your fascination.

Stansbury has delivered the glory years for Ms. State Basketball. It is hard to justify firing the most consistently successful coach from a program who hasn't been consistently successful throughout their history.

It's not hard to justify firing any coach that only has 2 NCAA's in the last 6 years- and one of those ONLY due to winning the SEC Tourney

Now Bundy could coach this year's team to an NCAA berth- but some of these big Stands supporters think this will finally be the season he gets us to a Sweet 16- and it just isnt going to happen.

Look at who they hired, one will soon be fired from South Florida, the other wasn't able to find a job anywhere else without the charity of a coach who felt sorry for him...

More reasons why I feel Stans should remain our head coach.
