Arky, you must be really bad to get swept by a team as "unskilled" as MSU :-)

Seven SEC teams had a losing record at the turn. all but one of those played three of their first five series on the road.

MSU has now played 17 home games. (12-5 at home.) All other west teams have played at least 25 home games. This team, with so many new faces, needed to start the season with a lot of cupcakes at home, but that didn't happen.

That there are no easy games in the SEC, especially after one of the worst baseball team just swept a Top 3 team

That is typical of the Sec. Every team has talent, some just have more- or just more experience. Arkansas could play Msu again 3 games and sweep Msu.

As far as mid week games go, those are not the same because you aren't going to be tossing one of your top weekend starters etc. Often times a team from a lower conference will throw some good pitchers because beating an Sec team helps their recruiting, Rpi etc.

Freaking amen for us and every other logical baseball fan left in the SEC. Talent wins ball games late in the year over experience. Just about all 18 year olds look the same through the first 100 ABs, the few studs will expose you after that and pitching coaches hate em. Like BP to them when nobody knows how to pitch you. We couldn't ask for a better stretch run than we have now.

As I mentionrd early on, we are very very young at the plate and would pay the price over half the season. These guys are very talented but need time. They are starting to feel it. All we can hope for now is to keep improving and make the conf tourney with a bang.
