He's been an SEC coach for 11 years.
Name me other coaches who have done that.
Who cares?
As long as Nutt is your coach, you will be cellar dwellers. End of story.
Ya'll had back-to-back 9 win season with Orgeron's recruits. This year, all of O's recruits are gone and looked what happened.
Just sayin'

Can't read it because obviously I don't subscribe to OM rivals site but apparently McCready has an article up today where PJ Jones told him Mississippi State and Arkansas were his co-leaders. The reporter, I'm guessing McCready, then went on to ask him his thoughts on Diaz leaving. Apparently, Jones didn't even know about that and was visibly shocked. Went on to say that it will change things up for him now that Diaz is gone.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over not getting a kid from MC. Chaz Ramsey comes to mind.

Wouldn't it be great if Mullen made a call to California and convinced Ed Ogeron to come and be the DC-I'd be willing to bet Ole Miss would take a collective dump because we all know Ogeron is the best recruiter in the country-and he'd like nothing more than to stick it to Ole Miss!!!!

You're right, because Nutt's never won anything with players he has recruited...

This is vastly incorrect. He still has a lot of friends here at Ole Miss and keeps in contact from time to time.
Hell.....Orgeron personally called a few Bigs in Oxford to tell them they got one hell of a player in Masoli and that he appreciated not having to scheme against the guy again.
Bottom line.....he has no ill-feelings towards Ole Miss. Why would he? He wasn't the one that got screwed over.

frick Ed O!!!
I'm not pissed that recruits are jumping off. Considering we lost Hudspeth our WR coach I'm not surprised about Brassel or Tobias.
Right now I'm pissed off at Gene Chizik. Yes, he was the one that recommended Diaz to Mack Brown per what I hear over here in Texas.
That muh-tha fricker.

Don't tell that to SPS or Genespage. They're sticking with their "Rebel Black Bears are shopping around our coaches!!!" schtick.
...I, personally, find that to be pretty hilarious.

13 years in the SEC, and Nutt is .500 in SEC play.
teams that go 4-4 in conference don't typically end up in the cellar, bud.

SPS isn't saying that from what I've read. I really don't go to gene's especially during recruiting season.
I miss the good ol days this time of year. The days before rivals and scout.

You mean the Eggbowl.com days where JediRebel ruled the land?

nah, eggbowl was actually a rivals site.
On the internet though Gene did a skuttle butt page that was pretty decent for back then. I dont' think I recall posting on his message board till like 1997 or so.
found this gem from way back when:
Old Gene's Page Skuttle Butt

If he's beat you 2 years in a row maybe he's winning the recruiting battle.

I think Dan Mullen is a decent gameday coach, but his inexperience really shows in recruiting. He'll have beaten us two years in a row and lost the in-state recruiting battle both times.
Mullen didn't lose the in-state recruiting battle in 2010. Out of the Scout 3 and 4-star Mississippi HS recruits, State got 9 on campus and Ole Miss got 5 on campus. And that's after back-to-back 9-win seasons by OM.
Mullen also clearly won the in-state recruiting battle in 2009.
If OM gets Brassell and Singleton, it's pretty clear that OM wins in-state this year, but MSU still fills our biggest needs--OL, TE, DT, DE, LB, and QB. We already have a lot of proven young WR talent, plus we are still getting 6'4" 4-star WR Joe Morrow. I'm still hoping for Singleton, I guess we will see on Saturday. If we lose CJ Johnson, though, then that would be huge.

rivals has him at 3 and I asked about that in another post. Seeing how LSU, Aub, Ark offered him, he should be pretty good player.
Our offense should be fine under Mullen. But I'm more concerned about having studs on defense in the SEC.
