Only if you had them scheduled, then Saban bitched about it, so they gave UT to LSU and gave Bama UK

So here it is; the reason. Saban is at Bama and is kicking arse and taking names and he has essentially knocked out the program he revived. Love the hints of foul play with the schedules, can't believe you haven't mentioned Birmingham yet.

I'm sure some Bahama natives have actually heard that ice fishing exists. That wasn't my point. My point was that they are clueless about the experience of ice fishing the way LSU fans are clueless with experiencing a true rival. Not suprisingly the point flew over his head.

And you completely and utterly missed where I said we have favorite pro teams, that obviously have major rivalries.

See my avi? Yea, there isn't rivalry in the SEC that compares to Lakers/Celtics.

I'm assuming he's saying LSU is complaining because Bama is winning. If you beat Bama then who Bama plays other than you wouldn't be an issue. Really, if there's anything LSU should be resentful of it's having to play Bama in the NC after beating them -- it's hard to beat any good team twice.

I like the idea. Gets rid of the stupid permanent cross division opponent but lets Bama-UT and UGA-AU keep their annual rivalries.

It would also probably rustle the jimmies of the Big 10ish

Yeah, he lost me with the Lakers/Celtics rivalry. Those teams had great playoff battles in the 80s but I certainly wouldn't call it a bitter hate filled rivalry.

Bama is rolling, for sure, and is collecting the crystal balls, but considering both programs are 22-2 over the last two regular seasons with one conference championship a piece, Forgive me if i don't write up the death certificate on LSU football just yet.

That was a mere 16 months ago...and it's not like LSU stunk in 2012...we were one play away from winning the SEC West for a second consecutive year and playing Georgia in Atlanta.

LSU started out #1 in the Coaches and were predicted to play in the BCS title game. Instead, y'all ended up in the Chicken Bowl.

Yeah, at 10-2...with the two losses coming to Bama and at Florida. C'mon...don't act like it was some kind of shitty year for LSU. Did it meet expectations? Certainly not, but it was far from a failure of a season. When the expectations are BCSCG or bust, there isn't much room for error.
