Yep. Again, really helped his team out in that impressive victory that got you into the NC game.

When you post stuff like this it kind of damages your prior whining about yardage against LSU.

U mad that losing on Nov 5th made it easier to get to the NC than winning did?

And yet you keep attacking his performance in it. Strange.

It's okay. Let it all out lil guy.

Nope.

I think he's a great player. Where have I attacked his performance? I think his total yardage in the LSU game, which the media continues to point out as some amazing performance, was largely a product of two plays. But it is what it is.

It's okay. You don't have to admit it. We already know.

You don't think 170 yards by one player against LSU is amazing? So you think it's the norm? 170 yards...one guy? Some defense.

You've been in the game for a week. Why would this still be a concern.

I think he is a great player but I don't think that was a great game by him.

And are you really going to mock our defense when you lost to us at home, scored six points, and made the red zone ONE time all game and never passed the fifteen yard line?

Keep trolling buddy.

He was the leading rusher and receiver for both teams and had 170 apy in the "game of the century". Wake up.

170 yards...against LSU...not a great game.

wtf were you expecting? And why were your expectations so high against your "best defense ever?"

I find it hilarious how in one sentence you can praise your defense and in the same breath you imply that you expected them to give up over 170 yards to one player.

How does this make sense?

Yeah he was the best offensive player in that game. But he still had like 17 carries of 3 yards or less and most of his yardage came from 2-3 plays.

You place this in quotes as if this is what I've said and what everyone thinks. I try to stay away from the "best ever" hyperbole but if you read it here once and want to keep discussing it here feel free.

Yeah, because the overwhelming majority of his yards occurred on 2-3 plays.

How is it hard to not praise our defense in that game? 2 turnovers, six points allowed, one redzone opportunity, on the road.

I realize you love stats but I like mine better than yours in this case because it resulted in a win.

but but but it doesn't matter any more.

pretty funny to me. trent is a beast though. can't wait till he is in the NFL, but then eddie lacy will be the "best RB in the nation" lmao. and after him Dee Hart will be the "best RB in the nation" and then after him it will be X is the "best RB in the nation". it's dat bama logic.

trent >>> mark ingram though, starting to wish that the saints never drafted ingram

I agree with you here. Ingram still shows signs of production though. But he doesn't appear to have the burst that I thought he would have.

i understand that he is a rookie and shite but.. unless the OL opens up a truck sized hole he goes down for negative yardage.

saints have drafted well lately though so i'll wait and see.. they could have waited a year and drafted trent

What is a great game for an offensive skill player against a top 5 defense, in your opinion?

200 yards total offense? 250?

I just question drafting a rb in our situation. But I guess we were still uncertain if Sproles could fill Bush's void and if Thomas would stay healthy. Just seems like you can get value at that position farther down the board.

I'm simply saying his stats are misleading in that game. He still got the yards though, he's still a great player, but overall, he was held in check for the most part when you're talking about holding a guy under 4 yards per carry.

well, for a running back, i'd say 125-150 rushing yards against a top D is a spectacular performance. i find it hard to put a lot of stock in him catching a swing pass out of the backfield uncovered and looking at that and being blown away.

if he got those receiving yards down field or beating DBs, that's one thing.. but any RB in the nation would have gotten those same receiving yards. i'm not taking them away from him either.. but i don't look at those short swing passes and say "wow", i say wtf no one covered their best player??

Funny how the self-praising goes away when the term is no longer convenient.

Wait...so which plays are allowed to be counted towards stats and which aren't. I was unaware that there are separate categories for "special plays." Being a Bama fan who loves stats, this discovery is new and exciting to me. Please explain it in great detail.

I know right. And only one player getting 170 yards. That was what you said the norm was right? Congrats on keeping up with that standard.

Once again...a win that has become entirely meaningless to everyone but desperate corndogs.
