Just saying that when I think of offers from two other big time programs and an invite to the Under Armor game it just doesn't scream "horrible player".

I'm pretty sure Tennessee and FSU both went for the package deal of he and Dyer. It was pretty widely known that Dyer was pissed at Arkansas for not offering Moseley when his offers started rolling in.

And the Under Armor invite?

And if anyone can provide me a link of his highlight tapes, I would be much obliged. I can't seem to find any and the Rivals highlight tapes are premium content.

I have no idea. Did he get to play much? Did he impress? Was Dyer there? If Dyer was there, it wouldn't surprise me if his handlers told UA that he wouldn't come unless Moseley could too.

Arky fans are understandable pist because AU has taken a lot of guys Arky fans were high on over the last few years. This year we may well take the two best players in the state and finish with a top 5 or top 3 class in the country. Meanwhile, Arky is ranked 50+ with only couple of four star guys.

It is understandable why they are pissed I suppose, esp when they have played well against us the last few years.

That sounds pretty contrived and embittered.

I'm not saying Mosley is some elite prospect, just not a prospect that is suitable for Appalachian State at the best. I think we can utilize him in some way. If anything, he can certainly be of use of our thin offensive line depth we'll have in 2011.

I really wish I could find a highlight tape not on Rivals/Scout so I could be talking from actual viewing of the kid's games instead of seeing him a little bit at the Under Armor game and using third party information.

He was there and played fine. TE is not the flashiest position on the field.

No. Dyer decided he didn't feel like it that day. He was busy watching AU in Tampa.

It's done you a lot of good on the field, huh?

I'm not pissed at all. Dyer sounds like a cancer. An unbelievably talented cancer, though.

Auburn has consistently out-recruited Arkansas for the past decade. I don't see why it should come as any surprise. Those recruiting rankings, however, haven't matriculated to a decided advantage on the field, though. So while I can certainly see the odds of a 5* guy turning out to be a much better player than a 3* guy, it's still not an exact science.

I've said my peace on Moseley. Good luck with he and Dyer.

We will be whipping your arse for a LONG time to come. Hope you enjoyed beating two of the worst AU teams of the decade the last two years. You guys keep signing your 50+ ranked classes, we will keep doing our thing and cherry picking your state, and you will be owned for many years to come.

Well, AU has signed classes ranging from number 17 to number 30+ the last few years. So, the difference has not been tremendous.

That is about to change.

I would think, considering Dyer's history of leveraging his talent to look out for his buddy, this wouldn't have come across as completely unrealistic. Add Walt Williams into the conversation and it's even more plausible.

Optimism is fun, but I'm going to wait until we can beat them before I start talking too much shite.

I will admit I'm slightly optimistic about our chances next year.

But you're Auburn and consistently lay down this awesome recruiting smack in January.

Fortunately, we get the last word in October, when it matters.

That sounds a bit like loyalty to me. And loyalty could turn out badly as you say, or it could turn out to be a good thing and him take ownership of the team.

Could make him a cancer but could make him a good leader.

Well, the Arky points on this thread have included a lot of bullshite, so I will respond with some smack talk of my own that may not be entirely warranted, but serves a purpose as a rebuttle.

With Mallet, it will be a good game. We should have the edge playing at home however.

This needs to be past tense, because it is about to come to an end. See my point about the last two AU teams you have beaten and the "accomplishment" you are so proud of. Vandy and Kentucky managed to do the same and all that is about to end.

Auburn Arkansas
2005 - 13th 24th
2006 - 10th 26th
2007 - 7th 31st
2008 - 20th 36th
2009 - 19th 16th

Ummm, so Auburn was +11, +16, + 24, +16, and -3 over the last 5 years. Once again, your recruiting rankings haven't matriculated to onfield success.
