He popped off about being able (or not able) to run a certain distance at 40 and he said his "pisshead" year (aggy lingo for sophomore) was 1997-98.

I think he's just confused. Even the year that aggy's capacity was reduced to 58k because of construction (1998, their sole Big 12 championship season), they failed to sell out the Louisiana Tech, North Texas and Oklahoma games.
His senior year, with a higher capacity, aggy only sold out one game (the 1999 Texas game, unsurprisingly).
Their former athletics director, John David Crow, once remarked that the only games aggy could sell out were in the alternating years that Texas and LSU came to town.

LSU is tough because the style of football they play, and the caliber of athlete they get. Texas is not, because their schedule is a joke, as is their lack of ability to do anything with the athletes they recruit
