It absolutely did not hit in the webbing. He could have caught it, but let's not exaggerate.

Maybe you need to have your eyes checked the ball actually did hit the webbing of the glove

No, it tipped off the tip of his glove. Was never in the webbing, just rewatched the slomo replay.

I can forgive the first baseman as he was only playing in his 15-16 game of the year. Prior to that he had not played first at this level. He was recruited as a third baseman where you are taught to take everything you can get. That was probably in his head.
