UTs 4 best players aren’t playing.

Clemson finally dumped their issue (DJU).

Clemson gonna roll them.

No one really knows how Milton is going to do but what we do know is that our defense has been bad all year. They've had a few good games but mostly the offense carried the defense. Tennessee will find ways to score but IDK if our offense will be able to carry our defense now. We're not just missing Hooker. Hyatt is missing too. And we're missing LB Jeremy Banks who cleaned up a lot of edge plays (last game he missed South Carolina happened).

MLM Out
WR1 Out
WR2 Out
QB1 Out

My heart says Vols cover and win straight up because Clemson is dog water but my head says the Vols D is terrible.

Are guys opting out or are they hurt

I know hooker is hurt. But Milton is not pathetic

If guys are opting out that’s kind a bullshite. It’s the orange bowl

In the immortal words of the scrooster ... always go-with exactly the opposite of what everyone else is doing.

Vols gettin' 6 is the play until it starts down ... which, who knows, it may not. It could still go either way. I'm still waiting on the hook to drop one way or the other.

The sheep humpin' sister bangers are psychologically damaged right now.

I would not. Milton has not proved he can be a decent starter. He has some great throws to wide open guys while playing against back ups. That is it. The offense also looks a great deal worse when Hyatt isn't the main focus.

Hyatt, Tillman & Banks are opting out
Hooker has the knee injury

Hooker & Banks being out are big, big losses for Tennessee. They're each the leader for their side of the ball & the drop off after both is dramatic.

Both and academics. I'm fairly certain the real reason Jeremy Banks got left at home against SC and is turning pro now is because he wasn't going to class. I've heard it from too many people. I don't think Jeremy could've played in the Orange Bowl even if he hadn't declared. He would've needed summer courses to get his eligibility back, imo.

Hyatt is opting out but he was being used less and less. I don't know if he had a nagging injury he wanted to heal from or just draft preservation/working the new guys in but it very much looked like they were managing his snaps the last several games.

Cedric Tillman had tightrope surgery earlier in the year and tried every way in the world to come back early but it was clear in the snaps that he did play that he wasn't 100 percent.

The ironic thing about Banks is that he grades lower than his backups but he's a crucial part of the blitzes and cleans up a lot of messes. The team plays better with him and it's def. leadership/personality driven. He brings an aspect that the defense desperately needs and doesn't have without him.

Hopefully, the extra notice and practice will give someone a chance to fill that leadership role but defense loses an edge when he isn't there - that is for sure.

This. Hate to say it, but it doesn't look good for the Vols.

The one guy who has no trouble catching Milton's passes is Squirrel White. And it's actually remarkable that he's a true froshie. His speed helps him a ton.

I think it was Ramel Keyton who got a gash last year from one of Milton's throws. Not a cut but a gash that took weeks to fully heal. The players have said many times that the only way you can handle a Milton thrown ball is if you can catch balls from the highest setting on the JUGS machine. If you can't do that yet you won't be able to catch a Milton thrown ball. Which explains why Hyatt struggled so much last year and proceeded to live his entire summer on a JUGS machine (it might've been Hooker that tossed him passes this year but Milton definitely inspired a lot of the JUGS work because we expected big things from Hyatt that didn't come to pass until this season.

They've done a lot of promo on his rocket arm with the bowl lead up and it's something that Milton is actually kinda shy about. They asked him about a story a teammate told that claimed they saw Milton throw it 70 yards from his freaking knees. Milton reluctantly confirmed it and said he prefers to keep stuff like that between him and his teammates - just stuff they do to have fun. He has said many times he has no idea how he does what he does.

And if you watch him pass you can see that every good pass he makes is due to him holding himself back which is just the craziest thing I've ever seen. Only QB I've ever watched whose real struggle was more about putting a governor on his arm than anything else.
