So did H1N1. Oddly enough, same death rate. We overreacted, and you wimpy liberals have continued it. Old people die. Everyday. It's sad but reality. Most deaths are 70+ and were already near death. Stop being a sissy.

And that most football programs lose money rather than make it

This is only true when you get to the lower levels of CFB, below the P5 & G5 Level, outside the Top 130 FB Programs

The 1st Problem with the NCAA is that their scope is too damn Big, the Top130 Athl Depts have nothing in common with lower 1,000 colleges that the NCAA oversees

Simply have the big boys break away from the chumps that can't generate any money, and create separate rules for the big boy division

Why is Covid more dangerous to CFB players, fans, or coaches than other sports?

Amateur athletes who aren't paid. Plain and simple, there will be no fall amateur sports, not just CFB.

I'm pretty sure it starts with teams outside the P5. But it's been a few years since I looked.

Even then those other programs are only able to make it because of games against P5 teams with big paydays.

But it won't be the football teams that disappear it will be the other sports.

BR radio host today used Kent State as an example. Said they would get over $5M from P5 football games this year and that they're already at the minimum number of sports to be considered a D1 school. They may not be able to stay afloat if all P5 conferences cancel OOC games.

COLLEGE football being attached to Colleges?!? Can you believe that?

When coaches get paid $9million per yr, that isn't a traditional Academic endeavor, that is a quasi-commercial enterprise, you only want to "attach it to a college" when it's time to deny the Players a piece of the cash they generate

The comment was intended to illustrate the phony NCAA version of Amateurism & Academia

So not only are college football players expected to put themselves at risk and play for free, they are supposed to do it for the benefit of other student athletes?

Would you work for free so someone in a different department could get to work too?

This is the reason that people like me are so stubborn in our demands that the Revenue Athletes get a larger Stipend than just the CoA, get rid of the CoA for FB & MBB and give them larger Stipends on top of the full scholly

I don't really see the argument against your position. Football players risk being paralyzed and even a small chance of death on every play.

It's inevitable that we're gonna have more pandemics with this interconnected world we live in and Chinese being so unhygienic. Might as well just end all sports and force people to live in mobile bubbles while Chinese are free to eat rats, pangolins, etc

Eating rats is probably more common in Louisiana than China.

The Chinese would torture Bully to death to enhance his meat's flavor and then eat him
