Tennessee football program is older and has more national titles. I’d say they get to claim it.

Honestly, this is where I’m at. It’s been UT for me since I was toddling around the Texas stadium. I love that team, and I’m damned proud of them, and we have every right to wear UT.
But if there’s a UT “right of way” happening, it goes to Tennessee because without those Volunteers we might still be a part of another country. I respect that.
That said, I’m all for both just being UT and both putting up a good fight every time we meet and like two guys with epic beards who meet leaving a bar, we can nod and respect each other because we both know life is better with UT in it regardless of where you get yours from.
