If not for a canceled game and Bama, LF7 would easily have over 2,000 after the season is done.

Ok? Fournette still never carried the ball more than 40 times and never would. If it was a close game and needed to seal the deal I could understand running Henry still, but the game was won. It was over and he was still getting carries past 40. Just pointing out the hypocrisy of Bama fans saying Fournette would get ran into the ground and then Henry carries the ball 40 times in a game already won and then defend how that's ok for him and his legs are fine.

You need to realize three things:
1. Saban let Henry run out the clock of both LSU and Auburn because it would win the game. The games were not already won, they were won because Saban chose to run Henry that way.
2. Our 2nd string running back is injured, and both of the next kids are freshmen. What logical coach puts a freshman into a rival game with 8 minutes left only up by 9? He fumbles the ball for a return TD, what happens then? No you run the dude who isn't as likely to frick shite up.
3. Henry played 1 quarter vs. ChaSo, 2 quarters vs. ULM and 2 quarters vs. MTSU. LF7 ran in all four quarters of both the Syracuse and EMU games.

Yeah, Really needed to run out the clock with less than 2 minutes in the game and no timeouts for Auburn.

Why are you so upset about that?
The guy has a trophy to win.

Not upset at all. Like I said, was just pointing out the hypocrisy with it being ok for Henry to rush 40+ times when they should've been in Victory while Fournette is getting ran into the ground while sitting in the 4th Q. I think Bama will be fine against Florida and will win handily and Henry will have at least 100 yards. Probably closer to 125-150.

With 1800 yards, it's probably safe to assume that McFadden would have done it if Felix Jones wasn't there to soak up 1100 yards.
Henry is good. I'd take DMAC over him any day of the week.
Yeah, it's a shame he hasn't had the best NFL career. Watching him in college was incredible.
Not sure if either of them would have gotten 2,000 yards alone, and it was pre-SEC days but SC's first two 1,000 yard rushers reached the 1,000 yard mark one week a part.

Long cracked the plateau first, against Wake Forest in the season’s 10th game. Williams got there one week later against Clemson, capping a 7-4 season that led to a Tangerine Bowl berth.
“We were aware of it. We were thinking about it,” Long said. “I was just blessed to get there first.”
Long finished the season with 1,133 yards on 190 carries. Williams ended with 1,073 on, appropriately enough, 190 carries.

Herschel had 395 carries to 1891.
Games is a valid argument for TDs. Not for yards. Carries is a much better judge for yardage in a season.
Yards are measured per carry. TDs are measured per game. If we were debating some major TD record games would have some merit.

We hate Auburn and wanted to punish them with another TD. Henry wanted the rock.

Well if Fournette wanted the ball I wouldn't tell him no either.

I get the "running him into the ground thing" if he were like Yeldon staying banged up. Yeldon would come in for a play or two when we needed him, the run would wear on him, and then he would be less effective.
That doesn't seem to happen with Henry, knock on wood. He only seems to run better as the game goes on and the more carries he gets.

Total yards is irrelevant when the length of the season has varied over time. There's no "magical number" when the only way anyone can get to it is to play extra games. Just to put this in perspective, the single season rushing leader in terms of yards per game is Herschel Walker (1981) who averaged 171.91. Henry is averaging more like 145 ypg.
You gonna tell me Henry's season was better just because he reached 2000 yards? I will laugh at you.

Herschel also got far more carries in 1981. He carried the ball more than 350 times in 11 games that year. Compare that with Henry who has rushed less than 300 times in 12 games.
His YPC average is better than Herschel's as well (6.1 vs. 4.9).

He had almost 1400 carries in HS, Saban is just getting what he can while he still can.
I don't get why people think he's getting run to death,
he's a LB playing RB he's not a runt like some of the RB's that's playing.

Part of it is jealousy/envy from fanbases ....Part of it is truth..We stole their dreams and hopes. Henry is not running for historical greatness, but a desire to win games. That's what separate our team from dreamers.
