I personally believe so. Cam didn't hurt obviously but Gus had a hand in if absolutely imo

Cam was obviously a huge reason, but Gus deserves credit on figuring out how to use him.

Even in the NFL they are just now starting to understand Cam is different than any other QB. To be successful you have to figure out how to use him correctly. He leads the league this year in 3rd conversion ratio. Possibly the most important stat in football, but because he picks up 47% of those conversions with his legs he isn't a great QB per some pundits.

Gus absolutely deserves credit for using Cam in the way that best exploited Cam's gifts. Cam deserves credit for being a uniquely gifted athlete with a winners mentality like we won't see for some time again.

What's amazing is as bad as our 2013 defense was we still won SEC champs and came really close to pulling off the unbelievable.

Chizik was a finalist for the Broyles award and his UNC defense led them to a 1 loss season.

Funny because after the 2012 meltdown and Chizik firing, the rest of America said it was all Gus and Cam. Now, you've all changed your tune? Pretty funny.

No, I think he was one of the reasons.

Are you the type who thinks one person is responsible for all the success of a team?

There's really no question -- except amongst a certain breed of fan -- that great teams need something on both sides of the ball. Even the defensive powerhouse of Bama in 2011 had a decent offense. Muschamp could have turned things around but, well, he's gone.

Yep, Chizik's defense really did help.
