Pot smoker and trouble maker. Great talent but caused problems on the team. Bama was exponentially better after he and some others were gone from the team the following year.

Now back to the all in.

Cam - felony arrest.. come on down. Likely involved with his dad in wanting $ to play. Hush up, no comment, we're all in.

E Smith - Yes judge. I assaulted a man. No prob, sit out La Tech and you're good to go. You've done what it takes to be in the Au family.

4 Players involved with felonies and E Smith again arrested for a violent crime - Oh, it's not Chiz's fault, no way to see this coming.

No deflection here. You tried to with Updyke. Fact remains that Chiz preached all in, values, tightness of the team and the family. Now it's biting him in the arse with the explosion of arrests and investigations. Can't back out of the all in now.

Listen to yourself for a second and realize how dumb you sound. What coach doesn't talk about how his team is a family and how he has a special group of kids? Yes, we use that a lot and as a strong recruiting pitch because that's what Chizik believes in. He can't hold these guys' hands all their lives and babysit, and he can't control what these guys do every second of the day. No coach can do that. I realize Chizik is gonna get the blame because he's the head coach and that's how it works, but the ridiculous actions of a handful of players doesn't reflect on the true character of him or a university.

So by your account, Mark Richt, a guy who professes his faith all the time, is really a thug based on his players' arrest records and BYU's bball coach doesn't practice what he preaches since one of his players had pre-marital sex and got booted out of school. They probably should've known that those kids were going to mess up, so they shouldn't have recruited them.

You gotta be proud being so judgmental of everybody else. You Bammers are pathetic.

28-27.

And it's b.s. He had a violent player on the team and saw fit to only sit him one game. Think that doesn't send a message? The lawsuit against him alleges other players were involved in the confrontation. You think Chiz didn't know about that? Anytime something like that's happened, he's clammed up and said no comment. He hid the fact that Smith was arrested for a week before he was even dismissed from the team.

He's quick to throw out the, We're a family, we're about taking care of players, we're with you til the end. But when the chips are down, he turns a blind eye until he no longer can. If you can't understand why the negativity after the past 5 months of his grandstanding and supporting these types of players, then you're the one with the wooden plank in your eye. As far as being judgemental, I don't know where his heart is, but I know what his actions have been and that's what I'm commenting on. Hate on me all you like, but it's time to look in the mirror and down south and see what your program is really all about right now.

no previous altercation, and it's a fight in college. If you haven't been in a fight in college, you're a bitch. Would you let someone pour a beer on your head? If so, your a pussy

That would actually be a good analogy. Doing dirty things to get to the top, then unable to handle the pressure, having a breakdown and major train wreck that has captivated the nation and pretty much thought of as a bunch of crazy lunatics.

4 football players beating on a couple of engineering students is badass. I'm sure a couple of guys started that altercation.

Leaving a guy unconscious in a gutter bleeding after running up to him and sucker punching him from behind, isn't a college fight. That's an assault. Keep on defending the thuggish behavior though. Just reinforces what folks think about the program and some of it's fans right now.

I'm not talking about the 4 dumbasses. They deserve all they get.

Smith got in fight. Big deal. What kind of ight doesn't have some suckerpunches in it? Kid shouldn't have poured a beer on him and he wouldn't have to worry about getting "assaulted"

But I'm not standing up for Erics other actions. All people deserve a second chance. He got his, and fricked up again, so is gone.

I don't get this attitude. same as being arrested for DUI or whatever else. People say oh no big deal all college kids get arrested for that. No they don't, I never got in a fight in college nor got arrested for anything. Neither did most people I know.

I've never seen anything indicate he got a beer poured on him. He never claimed it. He only plead guilty to assault. As far as the sucker punch, you realize the altercation was done inside and the guy was leaving and police reported he ran up from behind after the guy and struck him from behind. That's not a fight, I know you're young and you think that's badass, but that's assault. As far as Chiz, he sat him one game, the La Tech game. He set the standard and showed the team, as long as they can contribute, violent actions away from the field and team were quite alright.

You have never been in a fight? I've never been arrested either, but I know plenty of people who did, realized they fricked up and went on with their lives. Unfortunately for Eric, he couldn't do that, so was dismissed from the team after having multiple chances.

This. Acting like being arrested is no big deal is what blows my mind. For anyone on any team. How hard is it to be a decent human being?

You've never been mature enough to walk away or settle your differences with logic? Fighting is for children who lack cognitive abilities and children who do not have the ability to reason.

I'm sure you're just the perfect person and never do anything against the law. I bet you've never even ran a red light.
